SYNCHRONIZED ANTI-DENGUE SPRAYING, PEST CONTROL TO BE DONE ON “CLEAN UP THE WORLD MONTH”
Dubbed as “Synchronized Sunday Mission Nationwide,” the National Committee on Urban Pest Control [NCUPC] in partnership with MAPECON Philippines, Inc. and other groups conducts free Anti-Dengue Spraying Operations simultaneously in selected slum areas in Metro Manila and in other 44 key cities nationwide.
These operations will begin on September 28 to culminate the “Clean Up the World Month” being celebrated in September of every year by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources [DENR].
NCUPC will also celebrate the 18th National Urban Pest Control Week on September 22 to 28 this year.
With the theme "Adopting The Zero Waste, Zero Pest & Zero Pollution Lifestyles In Business Establishments,” it aims to 1). Create a waste, pest and pollution-free establishment and immediate environment; 2). Provide the staff/ representatives of business establishments with the necessary information and skills on how they properly manage their own garbage, refuses and wastes effectively through Reduce, Reuse and Recycling Techniques using their own Material Recovery Facilities [MRF], and consequently reduce their problems on pests and pollution; and 3). Teach their staff/ representatives on how their generated garbage, refuses and wastes can be reused or recycled as their raw materials for them to engage into and develop various arts, decorative and other waste recycling related projects such as Vermicast 100% Organic Fertilizer, and alternative Green Charcoal Hydrogen Fuel hence provide them the opportunity to add their income.
Meanwhile, the Zero Waste, Zero Pest & Zero Pollution Lifestyles In Business Establishments: Reduce, Reuse & Recycle Seminar-Workshop will be held on September 23 to 27, also this year at the different Local Government Units initially in Metro Manila.
